Merial :: Outbreak Alert
In response to declining rates of horse vaccination across the country, SHS and Merial mounted an effort to reverse the trend by educating horse owners about the ever-present risk for serious equine diseases, driving them to their veterinarians.
The centerpiece of the effort is outbreak-alert.com, built around an outbreak mapping application that serves users disease alerts based on their individual geographies. In addition to print materials driving users to the site, geography-enabled banner ads were placed on horse owner websites, alerting visitors to the most recent disease threats in their areas and referring them to the website for more information.
