Cheese Campaign Earns Top National Agri-Marketing Association Award

Kansas City, Mo. - Midwest Dairy Association (MDA) and Sullivan Higdon & Sink received top honors at the Region III Best of NAMA (National Agri-Marketing Association) Ceremony on Thurs., Jan. 14, 2010. MDA's Put Some Cheese On It! campaign earned best of show for the advertising category.

"This campaign capitalized on the fact that everyone loves American-made cheese," said Gregg Fogleman, regional marketing manager, Midwest Dairy Association. "We are thrilled the message reached cheese lovers and impressed the industry."

The Put Some Cheese On It! campaign was also recognized with three first place awards in the following categories: producer- or company-funded advertising directed to consumers, point-of-purchase materials, and Internet Web site with an educational focus.

"MDA's vision to get cheese top of mind for consumers in creative and unexpected ways continues to move the dairy marketing efforts," said Rand Mikulecky, managing partner, Sullivan Higdon & Sink.

The integrated campaign included point-of-contact elements relevant to consumers including a custom-made cheese car that toured the Midwest, an online photo contest, a Facebook application and in-store point-of-purchase materials.
