2004 is already shaping up to be a sweet year for SHS. That's because the agency recently won a one-year supply of Girl Scout cookies for taking first place in a creative shootout for the Girl Scouts of Mid-Continent Council.
The Kansas City chapter of the Girl Scouts invited all local agencies to design an advertising campaign to help promote door-to-door and kiosk Girl Scout cookie sales in 2004. SHS was one of four Kansas City agencies to submit creative work. A committee made up of 13 Girl Scouts and Council members did the final voting on the creative. Martha Singleton from the Mid-Continent Council said all of the agencies submitted outstanding work but SHS really did the best job of hitting the Girl Scout's key messages. SHS' design will be featured in print ads and on kiosks located through the area as part of the Girl Scout's annual fundraising campaign.
The first "payment" of Girl Scout cookies is scheduled to arrive at SHS in January. Be sure to stop by for a few Thin Mints.
