Senior Brand Reputation Manager :: Wichita, Kansas

At SHS, the senior brand reputation manager is responsible for enhancing our clients’ brands both online and offline in business-to-consumer and business-to-business environments. The ideal candidate is skilled in developing/implementing/evaluating strategic communications programs that get results.

The ability to generate timely news hooks, creative story angles and high-value media opportunities is important. This position serves as a primary client liaison and is expected to be a collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas. The manager serves as a PR counselor that identifies and pursues opportunities for various client brands, executes brand-building ideas via owned and earned media channels. Activities include media relations, community relations, social media community engagement, employee relations and internal communications, when applicable. Experience in developing a brand community and cultivating audiences via social media networks is necessary.

In addition, proven experience with media training and preparing spokespeople is a must along with having the know-how to assist clients in managing crisis communications needs related to brand or company activities. A bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or a related field is required as well as 8-plus years of public relations or related experience. Agency experience preferred.

The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable and passionate about a wide variety of PR strategies and tactics, social media technologies and is excited about pushing the boundaries of these tools to meet our clients’ business and communications objectives
